Our one’s is designed as a transitional class for children that have mastered walking but are not quite ready for our toddler classroom.
Our one’s classroom has learning areas that assist teaching our one’s in the following areas:
- Physical Development
- Emotional & Social Development
- Language & Literacy Development
- Cognitive Development
Each one year old has a developmental record that charts each child’s progress. Records are also used as a tool for planning activities according to each child’s developmental needs.
Lesson plans and daily schedules are followed daily. At this age, we strive to get the children on a routine. Daily Activities include: fine motor, gross motor, water play, outdoor play, music, learning circle time, planned table activities and story time.
“A child reaches for your hand and touches your heart.”
